Why Google Doesn't Like Your Company Website

When companies provide a new network marketing distributor with their own website, some people might think that's a great bonus. These are called replicated websites and it’s exactly what it sounds like….it’s a replica of everyone else’s website who is in that particular network marketing company.

The only difference between your replicated website and someone else’s website within the same company is the space they supply for you to insert your own personal info.

man behind computerSearch engines don’t like replicated websites. They may like the name of the company or product because it’s a good keyword but they don’t like the duplicate content on the website.

Out of all the 1,000's of replicated websites out there that are being handed out by your particular network marketing company, how close to the top of the search engines do you think yours will likely be?

Search engines do like the company’s corporate website, though, because they have good original content so that’s what will be found when someone types in the keyword of the company’s name or product. They've also paid big $$$ to advertise online.

The other problem with replicated websites is that in the unlikely event that someone will find yours and place an order, the contact information of the customer is no longer yours. It's the property of the network marketing company.

So even though you got them to your website, they belong to the company. And if you decide to move on to another company that has a better product and comp plan, you have to start over because your distributor policies and procedures say that all customers belong to the company, not you.


Using the Internet to Get Leads, Customers and Build Your Downline


The best way to use the internet to grow your network marketing company is to get your own blog or website that doesn't even mention your company's name or product.

It's pretty likely that you can't mention it online anyway. But what you can do is talk about the problem that your product was created to solve.

Let's say your product helps lower high blood pressure. Build a site or blog about high blood pressure; it's causes, prevention, exercises, recipes, etc. Then, mention how you've lowered your blood pressure using a particular product.

But don't mention the product or company name!

Simply include a contact form with a space for a name, phone number and email. There you have it! All you have to do is call them, tell them about your product and get them to place an order.

The contact form also is a way to prove to the company that you've gotten these leads through your own private efforts and protects your own network marketing internet business, just in case you end up changing companies. ;-)
