First, the best network marketing company has a good product. If you don't, then what you have may be considered a pyramid scheme and those are illegal.

There must be a product for you to sell rather than just paying money into a system in order to get recruits.

The product must be unique and something you enjoy using because most likely, you will be on an autoship. Most companies are requiring an autoship in order for you to receive a bonuses.

You can still make a retail profit without going on autoship but if you recruit someone and they make regular purchases or recruit others, you won't make the bonus commission if the company pays out that way.

Second, the best network marketing company must have a good policies and procedures statement. Yes, you need to read it. If you don't, you could end up losing money in the end. You should look for a few things in your P & P statement.

Questions to Ask

Will the company allow you to market through your own web site or do they require approval of all web sites?

Most companies are providing a replicated website but be wary of the companies that charge you a monthly to have your own site. These sites are nothing more than order pages and no one, except your friends and family, are likely to even visit your replicated website. It's very hard to get these listed on the search engines because they're all alike. Plus, they get all your names and email addresses.

Can you market on the internet with your own website? You must be able to do this if you plan to use the internet in your business plan. It's how you build your list and that's important to the success of your opportunity.

If you are marketing a health product, it is perfectly all right for your mlm to require approval of the content of your site. They can get in trouble with the FDA if your site is making claims about the product that have not been proven through a clinical study.

Can you invite people that you've brought into the company to look at another company?

Let's say you invest a lot of money in a web site, PPC campaign or lead capture page that brings you leads for your program. You bring them into your network marketing company and everyone makes money.

But, then, the product or comp plan changes and you find a new company that's a whole lot better than this one. Even though you spent the time and money recruiting this person, some companies will not allow you to tell them about this new company that you've found.

Remember, you brought them into the company in the first place. How fair is it that now they're the property of your network marketing company? Hmmm, not very, I'd say.

Does your company forbid you from being in any other network marketing company?

It's funny how these companies will tell you that if you are involved in their company, you must treat it like a business in order to be profitable.

How many successful business people do you know that are only involved with one income stream? It's none of their business if you have more than one company. You do want to act with integrity but to not allow you to market other products is simply wrong.

Does the network company have a good comp plan?

This seems obvious but how many people do you know that actually understand their company's comp plan and can explain it to you? I know, I know, it's really hard to figure out all the numbers but it's important to study it and at least know how it works on a basic level.

Quick Tips to find the Best Network Marketing Company for You

Beware of binary plans because you end up with only one leg that's profitable and the volume of the other one goes to the company.

Stay away from anything that's too complicated or that requires too much volume on the front end for you to make bonus commissions. In that case, you really need to treat it as a business and plan to invest heavily, as if you were actually buying a business and all it's inventory.

The best network marketing company is the one I am involved with, of course. ;-)

Seriously, I am involved in 2 different companies that I like for 2 different reasons.

The first one is a 2 X 2 matrix. I think it's a good because the comp plan is easy to understand and build. I can see exactly on which level my income is coming from each month. It's pretty effortless and all I need to get my full bonus commission is 2 personally sponsored people who are on autoship. I make money on each level and then a bonus commission on two other levels. The autoship is very low and comes out of my commission check every month so I don't even have to sweat where that's coming from. They don't forbid me from being involved in any other opportunities and I can market the product through my own internet websites and campaigns.

The second one has a great product that I truly believe in and look forward to drinking every day. The comp plan is pretty good because it pays me a 20% commission on my personally recruited downline as long as I keep my autoship or buy a low minimum every month, which is no problem since I enjoy the product so much. They encourage websites and other internet campaigns and in fact, offer training on how to do that. Your own personal website is free and the fee to join and get a 20 percent discount on product is less than $10. And once you pay, that's it. There's no renewal fee.
